Picture
An episodic crime family drama that tests an expectant father’s loyalty to family and The Family. Can he swallow his beliefs to defeat the trigger-happy son of an aging patriarch? Thirteen episodes per season, set in Boston, created by Mark S. Constance & Dana Biscotti Myskowski.

THE PROVIDER TRAILER
Award-winning screenwriter Dana Biscotti Myskowski wrote THE PROVIDER after learning about her father’s two invitations into the mob. The first was a hundred dollar bill presented to him by two soldiers on behalf of the head of the Cleveland crime family upon graduation from Case Western Reserve University. “Keep it; the serial number gets you in,” he was told.

A couple years later as coach and teacher in an impoverished Cleveland high school, his star runner secured a place in the Indoor Track and Field Championships held in Madison Square Garden in NYC. At the airport they were met by a couple soldiers with instructions to take Coach to a card game with the head of one of the Commission’s five NYC families.

Recruited for his academic brain, street smarts, and trustworthiness, he was able to walk away from both encounters shaken but unharmed. In a NYC warehouse on the docks, it helped that he could count up to four decks—thus winning enough hands, yet losing the card game out of respect.

Dana, sole proprietor of Green Chair Pictures, is also known for her planetarium show BREATHING SPACE, a one-hour middle grade climate science film; TO THE POWER OF YOU, a one-minute PSA for Big Sisters of Rhode Island that earned her an Emmy nomination; the Lyme crime novel, I Cannot Play with You, in which she gave her protagonist all her years of debilitating symptoms and added murder; several short films that have screened from Boston to San Francisco; short and full-length stage plays that have been staged, including in the Boston Theatre Marathon, and award-winning feature screenplays, such as a live action-animated pirate family drama that was optioned, but was dropped due to loss of funding.

An elected library trustee in her town, Dana most enjoys her time with her and her husband’s first grandchild who knows her as Nona.
